A Windy City LIVE exclusive: The Wasilewski family reunited

Nearly 20 years ago, Janina and Tony Wasilewski came here legally from Poland. They married, started a business and a family. Tony, who came here on a work visa, became an American citizen but Janina, who came here seeking political asylum, had filed for a green card and was denied, prompting deportation proceedings against her.

Janina took along with her their U.S. Citizen 6-year-old son. It has been four long years but Tony, with the help of many others, fought a good fight and just this Monday, the family were reunited. They share their story with Val.
