Melvin Buckley talks about the importance of the BMOA in the community.

The Black McDonald's Operators Association (www.bmoachicagoland.org) is a membership organization comprised of 15 Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana-area McDonald's restaurant owners. While contributing to the success of McDonald's as the world's leading food service retailer, BMOA members are also committed to exhibiting leadership, supporting education and developing partnerships within the African-American communities that they serve.

With its well-attended special events, promotions, community outreach activities and sponsorships, the BMOA of Chicago contributes handsomely to the success of McDonald's as the world's leading food service retailer.

The BMOA's first-ever signature program, "Write to Achieve!," is designed to improve writing skills, enhance verbal communication skills, encourage reading and stimulate creativity among young people. Among the other premiere community events that the BMOA of Chicago spearheads are: "Food for the Body & Spirit," "Dr. King Summit," the "Be Well Health Program," "McDonald's Inspiration Celebration," the "Bud Billiken Day Parade," "Chicago Football Classic," "UniverSoul Circus" and many others.

BMOA of Chicago members are committed to exhibiting leadership, supporting education and developing partnerships within the city's influential African-American community.
