This year, PAWS Chicago will find homes for more than 4,400 homeless animals in the Chicago-area. To help move the adoption process along, we wanted to give a few of those pets a well deserved makeover. We enlisted the help of D SPA Grooming to makeover three adorable dogs from PAWS.

About Rollins the Terrier Mix:
Rollins is 2-years-old who came to PAWS Chicago from Animal Care & Control after being found as a stray on the south side of Chicago. He is a very sweet little guy looking for a relaxed home where he can go on long walks, then come home and cuddle on the couch.

About Pongo the Maltese Mix:
Pongo is 1-year-old and was transferred to PAWS Chicago from the city pound after his previous owner could no longer afford to care for him. He has a very spunky and puppy-like personality. He likes other dogs, especially the ones who will play with him!

About Koy the Rottweiler Mix:
Koy is 8-years-old and came to PAWS Chicago from the city pound after being relinquished by her former family who could no longer afford the medical care associated with an older dog. She is a very laid back girl, with a sweet disposition who LOVES affection. She would be a very "easy" dog for a new dog owner or someone looking for a low-maintenance dog. She is good with other dogs, and would likely do well with kids. She has a medium hair-coat that has become disheveled and greasy since being at Animal Care & Control and now here at our Adoption Center.

About Deon the Long-Haired Cat:
Deon is a very handsome 3-year-old. He was obviously someone's cat as he loves human affection. He also loves sitting in the sun at the adoption center. He's pretty tolerant of the other cats, and we are surprised that he hasn't been adopted yet.

About Isis the Kitty:
Isis is a four-month-old domestic short haired kitten who came to PAWS Chicago from a Trap Neuter Return program in the Pilsen Neighborhood. She is one of the thousands of kittens that enter the city pound as a result of our community cats. Upon arrival, Isis received the necessary care to ensure she was healthy and ready for adoption. Today, this sweetheart is excited to meet her new family!

About PAWS Chicago
PAWS Chicago is the largest NO Kill humane organization, focused on implementing solutions to end the killing of homeless pets. Since PAWS Chicago's founding in 1997, the number of homeless dogs and cats killed annually has dropped more than 50 percent. PAWS Chicago is working to build a No Kill Chicagoa city where pets are no longer destroyed just because they are homeless.

PAWS Chicago will find new homes for more than 4,400 homeless pets in 2011 through the state-of-the-art Adoption & Humane Center in Lincoln Park. The cageless Adoption Center provides homeless pets with the care and dignity they deserve while welcoming adopters, providing them with guidance in selecting their new pet and continued support for life.
