Details: Chicago welcomes back the Taste of Chicago for its 31st year. With tons of family activities, music, and food, what more could a Chicagoan ask for? This year there will be 59 different restaurants showcasing the best foods Chicago has to offer. Each day there's numerous live performances for all to enjoy, as well as family activities located at Columbus & Jackson, called The Family Village. It is here that families can enjoy different activities such as face painting, dance competitions, arts & crafts, bingo, and much more. Although admission is free, tickets for food and drinks are $8 per strip.

Details: As a fun preparation for Sunday¹s Pride Parade, the Chicago Pride Fest is the 9th annual celebration that supports our local gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transsexual community. The Chicago Green Music Festival is an environmentally friendly event. The Green Music Festival has green friendly vendor, services, local retail, art, craft and the best part are the performing acts! There are so many bands playing at this festival there will be two main stages. The goal of behind this event is to bring people who care about the environment together and having a great time. This event isn't just a green washing festival they are really sticking true to their mission. The entire festival will be using bio-diesel fuel operated generators, biodegradable plastic cups, recycling and free bike parking. The sponsor for the green section of the event is the City of Chicago Department of Environment, as well as 60 plus vendors and sponsors. This is a festival where you can bring your family and friends together to enjoy plant earth while enjoying some talented bands.

Details: Why walk when you can race your way to the taste? As a way to kick of the Taste of Chicago, Chicagoans are encourages to spend their Sunday morning walking or running through Grant Park and across the lakefront. After registration, guests will receive a T-shirt and a strip oftickets for the Taste of Chicago (for food & drinks). Opening of the Taste will have live music, food, and vacation giveaways! This is the first all-city doggie pageant, where our four legged friends get to showcase their tricks, intelligence, loyalty, and of course looks!
