Young, blind singer debuts Christmas song on WCL
12/21/2011
Emmanuelle Lo, 12, shares her original Christmas song.
Emmanuelle Lo (www.emmanuellelo.com) was born blind in 1999. Along with her parents, Ben and Rachelle, Emmanuelle and five siblings rent a small, two-bedroom/one-bath home in New Buffalo, Michigan.
The Lo family couldn't afford music lessons, though, so Emmanuelle's training was limited and sporadic. She wrote "Night of Our Lives" less than 3 months after getting a guitar at 11-years-old. It took her just 20 minutes to create it.
Emmanuelle plans to donate a portion of the song's iTunes sales to the "Opportunity Music Project - OMP," a New York-based non-profit that provides music lessons for disadvantaged children.
